Ilia-Delio-wSister of St. Francis Ilia Delio will present a lecture entitled “Beyond Dialogue: Christogenesis and Conscious Evolution” March 28 at 10 a.m. in the Wyatt Center for Arts’ Amy Cralle Theater on the campus of Bellarmine University, 2001 Newburg Rd.

Sister Delio, Haub director of Catholic Studies and visiting professor at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C, is the author of 15 books, including “The Unbearable Wholeness of Being: God, Evolution and the Power of Love” and “From Teilhard to Omega: Co-creating and Unfinished Universe,” according to a press release from the university.

“Ilia Delio challenges us as twenty-first century Christians to take ongoing evolution seriously,” said Father George Kilcourse, director of Bellarmine’s Thomas Merton centennial, in a statement from the school.

The lecture is part of a yearlong series celebrating the 100th anniversary of Trappist Monk Thomas Merton’s birth. The lecture is free and open to the public.
