The Church of the Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrooke Drive, presented a ‘living’ nativity Dec. 14. Several families took turns portraying the holy family. Several hundred people stopped by between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., Vicky Chism, the director of youth and adult formation at Ascension, said.
Chism said the live nativity was an “opportunity to come and experience the joy of that first Christmas.”
“In addition, it brings all ages of the parish family together as they get involved in the event; whether it is through hospitality, greeters, characters/cast, parking and traffic, set up and tear down crew, sound and lighting technician, choir, or participants,” she said.
