The event, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry (OMM), is intended to provide an opportunity to “embrace the new evangelization from an Africentric perspective while addressing the spiritual and human needs of the African diaspora,” a news announcement from the OMM said.
Among the speakers are Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, Redemptorist Father Maurice J. Nutt, Father John T. Judie, Dr. Kathlene Dorsey Bello and Dr. Tyrone Powers. The archdiocese’s delegates to the National Black Catholic Congress XI also will speak.
